Ian Rapsey

Senior Designer

 

Ian was most recently a senior designer at Bruce Mau Design where he was responsible for the creative and strategic development of several projects including The Ontario Science Centre, Ask.com, Telus Communications, LEGO, NBBJ Architects and Skidmore Owings & Merrill Architects. His output ranged from identity and communications systems to publications and environmental design  and involved collaborations with writers, architects, and junior and intermediate designers.

 

Before joining BMD Ian was a designer at Up Inc. and 52 Pick-up design and communications firms in Toronto, where he worked on strategy, branding and design for such diverse clients as Canada Post, Royal Bank of Canada, Cott Corporation, and A-Space Gallery, and on identity and print projects for Penguin Books, Alliance Atlantic and ESPN, among others.

 

Ian’s work has appeared in Communication Arts, HOW and Applied Arts magazines. His Year of the Horse Lunar Stamp for Canada Post won the Continental Cup for the most beautiful stamp in North America and third place in the World’s Most Beautiful Stamp category at the Stamp World Cup.
